Classmate Response#10 Kacie's "It Was Written"

Great job Kacie! To start, I really liked your introduction. It made a fluid transition into the past while also developing the setting for the story. The narrator overhearing her parents was a nice way to introduce the dilemma. Something I might work on would be the transition from the past memories to situation where the narrator hears the doorbell. Consider using a transition phrase to make it clear to your readers of the change. I think you dialogue is spot on. It has a believable tone to it and I think if you expanded with more dialogue your story would be even stronger. I look forward to more dialogue-driven pieces!
